#5 Vocal technique and traditional singing with Jacinthe Dubé – SOLD OUT

Who should attend :  This workshop is designed for french language singers of all levels who wish to share the pleasure of singing in a friendly group atmosphere.

Descriptif: Traditional song is a genre that values the singer’s own timbre, and it’s with this in mind that Jacinthe Dubé approaches the work and interpretation of this type of repertoire; by enhancing our so-called natural, spontaneous voice. Based on traditional songs repertoires, this workshop will enable you to discover and explore a freer, more authentic voice. Vocal warm-up exercises will enable participants to acquire and deepen essential notions such as breath and breathing, resonance and vibration, articulation and interpretation. The group will sing without instrumental accompaniment, respecting the personal objectives of each participant. It is planned that trainees who so wish will be able to interpret the repertoire they have learned in front of an audience in a short performance presented as part of the festival program (Concert-Aubade, Church, Sunday June 30, 11 a.m. Free admission for the public).

Thursday

6 p.m.:  Dinner* with free singing and music sessions

Friday

In addition to the core teaching program, trainees will have the opportunity to take part in optional public activities during the festival.
