-ENGLISH-
Proud and inspired from the rich Québec women heritage, Galant, tu perds ton temps performs, with five feminine voices and percussions, songs from Québec’s traditional repertoire, in which lyrics are inlighten by colorful vocal harmony. By signing women’s lives of another historical time, the band wishes to recapture and honor those little known stories, often ironically, interpreted by men. They address marriage, love, work, and death, in short, the everyday life through dramatic and humoristic characters…which brilliantly evoke the modernity of our folklore! Funded in January 2003, the band has released three albums, and a fourth one is on its way and expected fall of 2016. Formed with Josianne Hébert (arrangements), Évelyne Gélinas, Jacinthe Dubé, Isabelle Payette, Mia Lacroix et Jean-François Berthiaume (bodhran, foot tapping and step dancing).
