-ENGLISH-
The band Regard Persan Trio was founded by three musicians from Iran and follows a very innovative philosophy: each member uses its own musical instrument to explore a new sound of the Persian music. The tanbur that Pooria Pournazeri, the inheritant of the famous music family of Pournazeri plays is the favorite instrument of the Kurdish dervishes. The highly-skilled Saeed Kamjoo plays the ghichak, a string-bowed instrument that Qalandars used in Belutschistan, like kemenche which is also an unusual string instrument. The rhythmic color is attached to this ensemble by the virtuoso of percussion Ziya Tabassian. Something between the traditional and the modern, the music group Regard Persan Trio produces contemporary music that takes the audience to a journey in time, a journey in music.
