Le groupe de violons le plus célèbre d’Écosse, Blazin’ Fiddles, reprend sa collaboration annoncée en 2019 avec Emily Smith, élue deux fois chanteuse écossaise de l’année, pour un dernier tour de piste à Celtic Connections.
Les « Blazers » combinent plus de 20 ans d’expérience avec un appétit musical, une vitalité et une sophistication toujours renouvelés. Avec une sélection rare et virtuose des diverses voix du violon des Highlands et des îles – magistralement mises en valeur par les violoneux Bruce MacGregor, Jenna Reid, Rua Macmillan et Kristan Harvey – avec des ensembles et des solos soutenus par la guitare et le piano d’Anna Massie et Angus Lyon, les six musiciens rassemblent toute la puissance, la passion et la sensibilité de la musique traditionnelle écossaise en un seul spectacle. En plus de ses deux titres de chanteuse écossaise de l’année, Emily a été nommée Jeune musicienne traditionnelle de l’année par BBC Radio Scotland et a reçu deux nominations aux BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
