From Prince Edward Island and the Magdalen Islands, the group has earned international acclaim, performing at major festivals across North America, Europe, and Australia, and receiving a JUNO nomination, multiple ECMA and Music PEI Awards, and the SPACQ \u00c9dith Butler Prize.<br \/>\nIn 2022, Visht\u00e8n faced an immeasurable loss with the passing of co-founder Pastelle LeBlanc. In tribute, Emmanuelle LeBlanc and Pascal Miousse created Visht\u00e8n Connexions \u2014 a concept project dedicated to finishing and sharing Pastelle\u2019s unfinished compositions as a collective act of healing. The resulting album, Expansion, earned widespread acclaim and was awarded Album of the Year at the 2025 East Coast Music Awards \u2014 a historic first for an Acadian and Francophone group. Today, Visht\u00e8n continues to evolve with the return of pianist, dancer, and singer Megan Bergeron, a lifelong friend and collaborator who appeared on the band\u2019s debut album. Together, Emmanuelle, Pascal, and Megan carry Visht\u00e8n into a vibrant new chapter, creating music that is deeply rooted in Acadian tradition yet alive with contemporary energy and imagination.
