A true favorite of the 2025 Chants de Vielles festival, the trio MALVENN will soon be back in the village for a concert as part of the year-round intimate concert series Chants de Vielles à l’année.

Malvenn is a Montreal-based traditional music trio founded in 2023, which includes Cécile Delage on Celtic harp, Charlotte Layec on clarinets, and McKinley James on cello. These three musicians offer a unique and refined interpretation of the balfolk repertoire (traditional European dance featuring folk dances or traditional folk dances collected from folk songs). With original compositions and arrangements of themes from the Breton, Irish, and Québécois heritage, Malvenn stands out significantly in the Quebec folklore scene. The trio has performed at major events such as the Grand Bal du Québec in Hatley and the Chants de Vielles festival in Saint-Antoine-de-Richelieu.
